November - December 2020
Over the 2020 holiday season we were blessed to provide aid to many struggling families in the midst of the pandemic.
At Thanksgiving we helped a single mother who cares for both her young daughter and her elderly parent while working her own long hours still finding time to help others during this struggling time. She made face masks for the community as well as local hospital workers. Also, she collected essential items for the homeless as the cold season was quickly approaching. Another family was a mother of 4, who works at a children’s hospital also had given so much of herself by organizing community collections to help other families in need. She, herself began struggling with her own personal health problems and after having to take a leave from her job found herself in need of help. Wanting to bless these families at Thanksgiving, the Today Will Be Great Foundation gave them gift cards to their local grocery store to shop for their full Thanksgiving meal to enjoy with their family.
As the Holiday season approached, we continued our quest to spread joy and positivity to others. For Christmas, we adopted a few families in need. Our first family found themselves falling amongst hardship after recently losing employment and having to care for their 2 young children.
We also were able to help out some families at Shepherd’s Gate, which is an organization that helps women & children escape cycles of addiction, homelessness and abuse.
Finally, we adopted a family in the Sacramento area and provided gifts to a mother and her 4 children who also found themselves escaping an abusive relationship and looking to start over.
Being able to give back to these families at a difficult time was a very special feeling.
