2022 Scholarship Winners
Last year our Board set a goal to extend Kelsey’s “Today Will Be Great” Foundation scholarship recipient list to another high school. I am happy to report, WE DID IT and awarded over $20,000 to 7 amazing Seniors this year. Each year as we read through all the applicants it is always a difficult decision to make. We look for these young adults who show many characteristics and attributes of our beloved Kelsey Lynn. Being able to give back and help these young adults is so rewarding. We are proud to announce and share our Class of 2022 Scholarship Recipients from both Freedom & Liberty High School.
Raven Rodger
Raven Rodger will be attending University of California, Irvine. She will major in Biological Sciences, then special in Human Biology in her junior year. She also plans taking on a minor in medical humanities and then plans to attend medical school after graduating at Irvine and pursuing a career in Anesthesiology or Ophthalmology.
Marissa Clenney
Marissa Clenney plans on attending Los Medanos College for 2 years and then transfer to a 4 year University to major in early childhood education and become an elementary teacher!
Emilee Price
Emilee Price will be attending CSU Chico and will be studying to become an elementary school teacher. She had been inspired by many of her former teachers and hope that when she becomes a teacher, she too will inspire her future students as well. She will be using the money from the scholarship to fund her housing expenses, as well as helping with the costs of her textbooks.
Christopher Richardson
Christopher Richardson will be attending Cal State North Ridge to pursue his passion in a career in film production.
Alex Garcia Chim
Alex Garcia Chim will move down south to live on campus, and attend Orange Coast Community College where her education will continue to earn her degree in Business.
Joseph Kruger
Joseph Kruger will be attending Butte College in Chico where he will continue his education to become an industrial welder in the Pipefitters Union.
Citlaly Garia
Citlaly Garia plans on attending Sacramento State in the fall. Her plans include double majoring in nursing as a pediatric nurse and criminal justice as an FBI profiler.

2021 Scholarship Winners
The Today Will Be Great Foundation is honored to announce our scholarship recipients for 2021.
Madisyn Cirino
Madisyn Cirino will be attending UC Santa Barbara in the fall. She will be majoring in economics, but is unsure what she wants to do once she graduates. Madisyn does know it will have something to do with business for sure.
Sandra Jimenez
Sandra Jimenez plans on attending the University of Oregon and at this time the plan is to major in Public relations or Sports Management.
Amanda Martin
Amanda Martin is attending UC Davis this fall majoring in biology with the hope of becoming a veterinarian.

2020 Scholarship Winners
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Class of 2020 Scholarship recipients were announced via a virtual presentation. This year’s recipients are:

Kenna Rubio
Kenna will continue her education at a local community college before heading on to a University to pursue her dreams of becoming a veterinarian.

Alexus Slaney
Alexus Slaney has been accepted at the University of Nevada, where she will pursue her degree in Nursing.
We wish these bright young ladies the best of luck in all of their endeavors.
2019 Scholarship Winners
Founded in 2018, the Kelsey Lynn Martinez Scholarship Fund was pleased to award two scholarships in the Spring of 2019 to two deserving high school seniors. Kelsey’s family has taken a tragedy and turned it into a positive by helping others pursue their educational goals.

Leslie Aguayo
Leslie will begin San Francisco State University in the Fall of 2019 to study Criminal Justice.

Madison Saunders
Madison will be attending Los Medanos College in Pittsburg, CA in the Fall and then plans to transfer to a 4-year college where she will study to become a labor & delivery nurse.
2018 Scholarship Winner
In the Spring of 2o18, the Kelsey Lynn Martinez Scholarship Fund awarded their first scholarship to high school senior student Dario Gomez who enrolled at San Joaquin Delta College in the Fall of 2018.
